Lets begin with Audio Coverage…
Below is a very common PA System Setup…
Two Tops and Two Subs Left and Right of Stage…
The red markers are the speakers -6dB coverage boundary (commonly 80 degrees)
But, notice where the red coverage boundary doesn't touch…?
Areas outside the coverage boundary experience roughly half the sound pressure level of on-axis seats, resulting in reduced perceived loudness and intelligibility.
This is an unevenly distributed system…
There is no balance to the listening experience. Adjusting levels for part of the audience degrades the listening experience for another.
Here is where STUDIO AV is different…
A Smarter Approach to Coverage
In this example, four wide-coverage (120°) speakers are used to cover the same audience area, each working at a lower output level.
This approach allows sound to be:
Distributed uniformly across the entire audience
Delivered at lower, more comfortable volume levels
More intelligible for speech and presentations
Rather than relying on a few loud sources, the system is designed for balanced coverage and consistency from seat to seat.
“Good audio isn’t always louder, it’s evenly heard...”
Projection, Screens and Projectors…
This layout shows a 300-guest event with 30 tables in a square room.
Screen size is selected based on audience count and viewing distance, not just room size.
120” screen (left) — Ideal for up to 50 guests. Best for smaller breakouts or side seating.
165” screen (right) — Ideal for up to 150 guests. Suitable for mid-size audiences with shorter viewing distances.
220” screen (center) — Ideal for up to 300 guests. Provides clear visibility for large audiences across the entire room.
